Are we not throwing away even more money?
This phrase is used commonly to justify decisions, but it lacks any substance. This is easily seen on the in the following example: An Argentinean bondholder invests 500,- € to retain his or her claim in pursuit of a best possible result in the debt restructuring negotiations. He can expect a 5% yearly return on the sum, which would be about 25,- €. This amount is much to small, especially when compared to the legal claim on the invested sum and its dividends. Already with an investment sum of 10.000€ it is profitable to support IG Argentinien, even if only 1% of the respective sum is returned. Therefore for anyone who does not want to sell their Argentinean bonds, the IGA payment is the best capital investment.

Why exactly should I join, if the services are profitable for everyone anyway?
This opinion is a fallacy. Throughout the history of debt restructuring, there was always competition from various creditor groups. This led to varying levels of success. Also in the case of Argentina, we should not exclude the possibility that some creditors will be favoured over others. Therefore, the groups that are not organized, are in danger of making the wrong decision without adequate information and being discounted by the government. There is also the risk of missing trial and claims deadlines in the US courts and having their rights rejected without a fair chance.

Witch bonds do you represent?
We have specialized on bonds that have been issued according to German law. Further we are gathering information related to other bonds from Argentina, Buenos Aires and Argentinean regional authorities. Therefore, you should turn to us first in other matters as well. The current members of IGA, own almost everything that can be owned on market.

Do I have to report the value of my bonds?
After confirmation of your membership, we will contact you personally to discuss the state of your Argentinean assets. This is a necessity since there is a need to statistically assess the volume we are representing. This can be done anonymously and your name will not appear. If you do not have bonds then you can support our cause as a promotional member.

What happens to the data?
Only names and addresses are recorded. This information will be saved according to all legal obligations to confidentiality and not be forwarded to other parties. Claims about any violation of data privacy can be filed in accordance with the National Data Privacy Act. We adhere to the same laws as banks, insurance companies and other institutions and firms.

Can I become a member if I do not hold any bonds?
This is possible as a promotional member. We have decided on this option of membership, since our association supports the cause of the private investor.

I can become a member if I am from another country?
Yes. We already have an international community of members, and are excited to see new faces in our ranks.

What is the role of the founding members?
First of all, the founding members made the formation of IGA possible. They quickly decided to follow their own initiative, and through the seed financing of the association allowed for the establishment of IGA. In case of liquidation of IGA, the founding members will have an advantage in connection with the return of funds, as recompense for the greater risk they undertook in IGA's formative stage.
